What are Sneakers?
Sneakers for men are shoes primarily designed for sports or other forms of physical exercise. These shoes were designed with rubber soles as opposed to standard hard leather soles. Leather soles were noisy but the rubber soles were so silent that the wearer could easily ‘sneak up’ on someone else. Hence, the name ‘Sneakers’ as it referred to how quiet the rubber soles were on the ground.
